This trip is almost the minimum time for visit Machupicchu and on the way, is possible to visit Cusco an amazing place to stay full of history, culture and vibrant folk, and then we drive through Sacred Valley with so nice land scape, folk and history too.
This trip is moderate active, but if you want is possible to turn in to a bit more active with some small hike days, like in Pisaq inka site and in Machupicchu too, it is very flexible. Also we change almost every day hotels locations so this means pack and repack more frequently, in order to cover and see in short period of time.

Fly to Lima, capital city of Peru, located in Peru’s narrow coastal desert between the Pacific Ocean beaches and the towering Andes mountains. Most of the international flights arrived to Lima in the afternoon or late night, so be host in the airport hotel or nearby hotels.
Hotel: Lima
Early fly from Lima to Cusco, in the morning arrive to Cusco the former capital of the ancient Incas, Cusco is located at 3340 meters / 10,857 feet above sea level. We transfer you to your hotel, so depending of the fly time we can visit and do small walking tour visiting Qorikancha the ancient Inca temple, and in the impressive main square the cathedral of Cusco.
Spend the night in Cusco.

In the Morning we tour the Inca monuments outside of the city, visit Saqsayhuaman the enormous fortified temple with its massive ramparts of hewn stone, also the Q´enqo where the inkas carve in the same natural formation of rock the sacrificial table, Puka Pukara the inka fortress, this exploration is taken during the morning, so return to Cusco and free afternoon.
Please tonight must repack an overnight back in order to bring on next day to Machupicchu, according with train companies your overnight pack must be 5 kilos or 11 pounds of weight (please this weight is a reference, the train company never check the weight, they just want make sure you don’t bring big lugged because of the space of the train car, also you can bring your carry on if you want, beside this carry on or overnight back, also you are allow to bring a day pack per person), the rest of the lugged we leaved at the hotel.
Spend the night in Machupichu pueblo.

Drive to Pisaq town and visit the huge Inca site above the village at the entrance to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, this magnificent monument has really a beautiful land scape, so you are going to have an amazing exploration in this inka site, but if your conditions allows you, I really encourage you to do the small hike of 2 or 2 an a half hours to the sun temple (inti watana) is worth to do it or even hike all the way to town of Pisac, after this exploration we drive to Urubemaba in order to enjou our lunch and after lunch catch the train from Ollantaytambo station to Machupichu Pueblo or town (in the pass call Aguascalientes) one hour a half trip buy train ride.

In the morning, we climb by bus to Machupichu to have a tour, for most people the highlight of the trip is the visit the greatest inka site in the world, the lost city of Machu Picchu. This is one of the architectural and engineering marvels of the ancient world, in a mountain setting of staggering immensity. The Spaniards never found it, the Incas left no records about it, so Machu Picchu remains a great enigma, a city lost for centuries in the jungle. This night we spend in Machupicchu Pueblo.
Is possible to do optional hikes in Machupicchu, Huayna Picchu mountain takes approximately 2 hours round trip hike and also is bit a steep hike too specially at the end of the mountain, or Machupicchu mountain takes like 3 a half hours round trip it is longer and bit more challenge than Huaynapicchu and at the end also turns very steep, there is limits of places for those two hikes, so we have to book in advance if you want some of those specially Huaynapicchu mountain. Also, must add another different entrance ticket which the cost is 200 Peruvian soles or (55 US dollars)

Early in the morning take our train from Machupicchu Pueblo train station and reach Ollantaytambo train station, will take as 2 hours ride approximately to reach Ollantaytambo, once we arrived to Ollantaytambo we explore the magnificent Ollantaytambo, where many buildings display original Inca stone foundations. The adjacent Sun Temple offers some of the finest stone construction, after this amazing exploration, we continue to Cusco and on the way we stop in order to visit the amazing circular terraces where the Inka culture or the Andean culture domesticate so many plants, after this we explore the Maras salt mine where the peasants from the countryside of Maras work making polls of salt and selling their products in the market around the sacred valley and even in Cusco, then once we end our exploration we continue to Cusco.
Tonigh if you want can connect your fly from Cusco to Lima or spend the night in Cusco and fly the following day.

I recommend always bring a light rain jacket this one can work during the dry season like wind breaker and during the rainy season for the rain and wind breaker too, warm fleece jacket, for winter also I recommend ski hats, gloves and scarf, winter star in May to late august (other ways you can always find those in Cusco made of genuine Alpaca wool or synthetic), for Machupicchu is important to bring insect repellents, comfortable pants for walking or hiking pants too, walking shoes or good sturdy shoes (it doesn’t have to be hiking boots but if you prefer can bring too), some comfortable shoes for change and rest after the trips (can be tennis shoes), if you want can bring some short pants too (if you plan to go to Machupicchu with short pants make sure to put mosquitos repellents), sun block (SPF 45 up), sun hat, sun glasses, a day pack for trip explorations, small holdall (you will be ask to pack a smaller overnight bag for the trip to Machupicchu).
